Toucan Designs Pty
Ltd is a family owned and operated business which was
established in the Gold Coast in 1988. Originally the company
designed and manufactured golf and tennis wear and supplied most
major golf and tennis pro shops throughout Australia. The
company sponsored Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) golfers to
only wear Toucan apparel in the early 1990’s.
Toucan ventured into
retail in 1993, selling men’s and ladies sportswear. Around
2000 it began concentrating on menswear retail, operating
retail stores in Southport, Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach,
Coolangatta, Brisbane CBD, Aspley, Maroochydore and Ballina.
Toucan has now closed its retail stores to concentrate on its
online selling and offering cheaper prices.
Toucan is now
specialising in suits and remains a major retailer for Coloured
Microfibre suits in Australia.
Toucan’s advertising motto is
“Who can? Toucan”.
